Raising Frequencies to Allow for Multidimensional Creating

When I was growing up, my mother and maternal grandmother used to say, “The Lord will provide.”  In the consciousness shift to 5D and beyond, we seem to transcend the concept of a “Lord” to that of an active, co-creating Universe, free of hierarchy, where no one lords over us, for good or not so good.

Mass movements dismantle hierarchy. The Civil Rights Movement in the 60’s started the dissolve of the hierarchy of race, and the Flower Power of the same era started the dissolve of the hierarchy of corporate capitalism. These collective awakenings brought direct experience of personal sovereignty and human equality. We recognized freedoms and our interrelatedness. The 1970s and 80s brought revitalized interest in Native American Spirituality, reminding us all creatures are our relations, animal, plant, mountain, ocean, sky, human; All My Relations.

Fast forward to the Information Age when our entire planet is connected wirelessly and folks at far distances communicate instantaneously. Hierarchy of place, dismantled.

Other mass movements also reflect the dissolution of hierarchy. People take power back from doctors as they research their options, tune into themselves, and decide personal health care choices based on their own sovereignty. As I wrote in last week’s post, no one knows better than us what is the best for us.

While it still seems to be a man’s world, progress is made in gender equality. Men are in the delivery room now, in contrast to their absent role in the birthing process decades ago. That some men change diapers, feed babies and are active parents, is a great equalizer in gender hierarchy. Gender fluidity is another equalizer.

We also see the dissolution of hierarchy between humans and animals. People go out of their way, even risking their lives, to save animals. There is mass outrage when remnants of trophy consciousness are reported.  Animals perform miraculous interventions that save human lives.

Like stepping stones, these mass events that diminish hierarchy and demonstrate equality lead us to direct experience of worthiness, and Divinity.

The embodiment of sovereign power leads us to awareness that we co-create our own reality. We are no longer helpless victims, at the mercy of a hierarchical figure lording over us. We are it.  We are actively linked to the co-creative, materializing forces that craft our lives.

Co-creation does not force mind over matter. The more conscious we are, the more fluid and responsive we are with the co-creative forces, the more our lives reflect materialized desires.

And this is my place of struggle now, in raising frequencies to allow for this level of multidimensional creating. It is one thing to let go of hierarchy; it is another thing to be flapping in the wind without a Mother.

We do not create in a vacuum.  We speak our truth to ourselves consciously; the truth of what we long for and want. In expressing to ourselves, we also express to the Universe. We monitor negative self-talk and choose words with care, as we know what we say manifests.

I am aware of having to stretch up and out to this new consciousness that is grounded in direct experience of being loved by an animate Universe who cares, listens and responds to requests.

My challenge on this path is releasing the habituated patterning of being a Motherless Child. Yes, I had a mother in this life, and like many, my mother’s formative life experiences led to the motherless child experience.

My awareness now is of letting go of the Lone Wolf persona and letting in Love. A spiritual teacher once said to me, “You need to have an experience of a Mother that you can trust.” She led me to the Earth Mother, and now, I lead myself to the Living, Loving Cosmos Mother.

A Mothered Child no longer hides what she wants, longs for, knows as Truth. An adult mothered child is self-responsible within a Universe that hears, responds and Loves back.  Our Cosmic Mother is multidimensional with access to the timeless realm of All Possibility. Hierarchy is gone; inclusion is here. No one, no part left out. We wake to our Power, our Sovereignty and our living relationship with a co-creating Field.

Our rational minds cannot understand our co-creating Field; our Souls know. When we surrender the lead of our mind to the lead of our Soul and when we combine our Soul Consciousness with the Consciousness of the Universe, how can we not create what is good and holy and remarkably ours to do and be and have?

When we surrender the false concept of hierarchy and claim stand-up alliance with a responsive, creating Universe, how can we not create and Be what it is ours to create and Be?

A mothered child knows that she is loved. She has the freedom to be. We are all Mothered by this Divine Mother, our Earth and the SupraMother beyond Her, the Cosmos. I suspect it takes a while to absorb this Love, to repattern the Motherless Child experiences with Mothered Child experiences.

This is the part we deal with now, in this Frequency Upgrade; this direct experience of being Love and Loved within a Loving Universe.

(Current political scenes reflect the death throes of hierarchy. It is a mess out there. However, what we feed with our attention, grows. If we choose to be distracted by the external chaos to the determent of our own sovereignty, that is a choice.

One’s own Heart and Soul is where accountability rests. If you are called from within to be an active part of the Resistance, may you find your way to Yes.  If your role is to listen to the deepest beat of the Earth/Cosmos through silence and bearing witness, may you find your way to that, too. Whatever your role in this current chaos, may you find your way and not abandon yourself in the process.)

Opening to Receive: 5 Tips to Get to Yes

When someone compliments you,  do you accept, wide open, with no questioning? Or, do pre-conditioned responses of resistance come into play? Are you even keel with giving and receiving, or are you always  giving?  Life within a  responsive Universe requires that we live in dynamic equilibrium with both  giving and receiving.

In last week’s post, I wrote how the split between body and mind is lessening and use of intuition is increasing. For these great changes to happen though, we must be open to receive. Issues of false pride and subscribing to hierarchy are no longer functional. In hierarchy’s place is awareness of our own supreme sovereignty. That message, delivered Ages ago, the Kingdom of Heaven is Within” reflects present reality.

As I wrote last week, we are moving toward the direct experience of Oneness. Going through life blocking the reality that we are part of, that we belong, results in tremendous waste and keeps us from receiving what is ours to receive.

If receiving remains a challenge, here are five suggestions to consider for opening to the wild, raw, living current of Life that says Yes.

  1. Consider that being closed to receiving is an adaptive response. Notice how a baby responds to a face reflecting unconditional love: there is joy, delight, openness, receptivity! Practice receiving at that infant pleasure level next time someone praises you.

  1. Allowing unconditional love involves trust. If you feel there is no one whom you can trust, go to nature. Beam in the spectacle of night sky, or a vibrant-with-life tree, or a serenading bird or the breathtaking colours of sunrise and sunset. Allow yourself to receive natural beauty as mirror reflection of you.

  1. Say Yes when your Soul nudges you to say Yes. You will know when a No is appropriate, however, consciously stretch to Yes when No feels false or habitual. This Amazon page lists books related to saying yes.

  1. Using a mirror, look yourself in the eye and applaud yourself!  This practice, from Spring Forest Qigong,  opens the heart meridian. Do try this and note how it feels!

  1. Consider that you may be adept at opening to receive and that the challenge is Opening to Be Received.

During eons of life in 3rd Dimension, many of us had to hide. Intuitives, healers, wise women and men, we could not openly show who we are.  We can be who we are now and opening to be received might represent a new chapter in living the truth that we are part of and do belong. Your gifts, talents, wisdom are a crucial part of our collective unfolding into 5D.

If opening to be received is part of your challenge, start small and stay consistent with sharing who you are and what is yours to give. Trust that the opening to fulfillment is yours and receive it. Pay attention to how your sensate body guides and directs you. Open to receive that inner wisdom, and you will find your way to opening to be received.

Blessing wishes for all giving and receiving

The Death of Duality

Duality is dying. It might not seem so as we witness the divisiveness within first nation politics. Yet, duality, with its sense of separation, is dissolving. The Resistance Movement, whether we are activists or not, unites us and helps lift the veil of delusion. We are no longer fooled into accepting that we are separate beings. That fiction is no longer fact.

Through the global resistance movement, we embody the experience of Oneness and live interconnectedness. While the transition from duality into Oneness is not pretty, it is authentic. This same shift from duality into harmonic wholeness is true within our personal experience, as well.

We are no longer separate mind and body, we are bodymind. And notice which comes first in that word! The divisive split of spirit from matter, mind from body, consciousness from soul, human from nature, animal from human, has dissolved for many and is dissolving for many others. We are freer, now, to live an intuitive life, a life that is directed by an inner knowing of interconnectedness with all that is. Living an Intuitive Life means that we feel our truth, own it, and live it.

Living the Intuitive Life is the tagline for my blog because this is core to my beingness, my purpose on Earth. Ignoring intuition, this living channel of Field support, feels like a mortal wound and it seems to take a lifetime, or more, to keep this channel open.

A story in point: The other day I had errands that would have taken me to five different neighborhoods.  I could not possibly make all those trips in one afternoon. As I was deliberating a choice, my intuition slid in with the question, “What would it be like to live intuitively?”  Yes, this is the question my intuition, an information source I have actively been connecting with for decades, had to come and gently ask.

A memory of example also slipped into consciousness. A friend needed a new tablecloth for a special event. Rather than go here, there and everywhere in search of THE tablecloth, she asked her intuition. It responded, she listened and on one trip she found the tablecloth she wanted.

When we release mental rigidity, and the pushing, forcing, and insisting that comes with it, and we open, instead, to a soft flow of surrender within a Field that wants to inform us, life becomes effortless. Some moments are bumpier than others, however, if we relax into All is Well, we can trust the gift and the growth of a challenging experience, We can relax, allow, and receive.

This surrender to an informing Field is not self-abandonment.  It is an embodiment of consciousness that fuses body, mind, sensate experience, Soul and the living, informing Field, into Presence. Through this knowing presence, we are longer duped and disturbed by a cognitive dissonance that comes from not living our own wisdom and Oneness, our own intuition.

How does it feel to have the split between mind and body lessen in your daily life? How does it feel to trust your intuition more fully? Are you practicing on smaller, every day choices, such as holding an orange while grocery shopping, and asking “Does this have life for me?”  This is how we start living an intuitive life; we start small, in everyday matters, and we build from there.

One way to build relationship with intuition is to put one hand on the middle of your chest and the other hand on your lower abdomen; enjoy deep exhalations, relax, trust that Life is a Yes and that you are shapeshifting through challenges, then ask your intuition what you long to know.

Non Linear Living, Now!

brush-1317902_1280-colourful-wave-particle

The irony brings on a belly laugh.

One year ago, I wrote a blog post about no longer using reminder lists. I had been in the process of not making lists for three years  by the time I wrote that post. Now, one year later, a stubborn mindset wants to revisit the issue. Habits die hard and the mind continues to think it knows best.

In this season of shift, multiple streams call for attention. The imperative to choose is forceful and the mind gets scared that it cannot keep up, or choose well. Within this heart pounding experience, I considered returning to making lists.

Ah, the pain of it.  Feeling frantic and not resourceful, the mind tries to revert to old ways. Whether to make a list or not might read trivial and inconsequential; however, my direct experience of this choice point is that it is crucial.

Making a list harms me because it takes me out of the wave particle flow of life and back into linear confinement of self within time and space. It is challenging to be in the new 5D, multidimensional experience. We have been living in the 3rd Dimensional Consciousness for thousands of years and the old ways of how we got by are deeply ingrained in thoughts, experiences and programmed responses.

This new way is open and there are no teachers or guides or safety nets other than our own deep, true inner knowing.  3D consciousness might not know what is going on, however, our multidimensional consciousness, informed through sensate experiences within a living, informing Field, does know and offers guidance and direction out of fear and into Light.

I came very close to writing a list before my consciousness floated in with awareness that making a list is a linear way and, right now, that does not represent optimal functioning in this new multidimensional consciousness.

universe-1566161_1280-wave-particle-blue

In this new way, all is possible, in any moment. Making a list inhibits all possibility, because we limit our focus to the way our minds outlined. I am talking about all lists, from grocery lists to work to-do lists to life goal lists.

Yes, we still identify and name what we want, however, we do not limit it. “This or something better” is a helpful phrase to add on to anything we have identified that we want.  That phrase keeps it open to all possibility and honours the mechanics of us working with a knowing, loving Living Field of co-creation.

What is the worst that can happen if you forget to buy something from the grocery store because you did not use a list?  Maybe another trip back to the store at another time and who knows the connection that can happen when you make that second trip?

People with symptoms of memory loss do need to employ lists. We use all that we can to help ourselves.  Yet, others, who rely on lists, out of habit in contrast to need, might be surprised by the freedom that comes from not using lists.

To live free of lists requires trust in one’s self. It requires trust in a living Universe, or Spirit, or Field, whatever the name. It requires trust in one’s self within this living Field.

And that is the difference, in this new time we are aware that we are connected, vitally to our own Knowing, to our informing Cosmos, and to the morphic Field of living intelligence and all that is animate – humans, animals, plants, flowers, trees, crystals, rocks, stones, stars, rainbows, clouds, waters, fire, earth, winds.

All that has life has intelligence and communicates through this pulsing living Field in which we anchor ourselves.  The upright, steadfast anchoring of past has become a swirling, open, fluid, colourful anchoring filled with surprise, support and fulfillment.

Living a linear life will not get us the fulfillment our hearts and souls want. The past is gone. We are free-floating within all possibility now and making a list restricts the full capacity of listening, feeling, choosing within each fresh moment.

What needs to happen for you to consider releasing reliance on making lists? Please share in the comments below.

The Full Moon’s Secret

 processing-1737812_1280-saluting-full-moon

I have worked with the Full Moon in many ways, including dancing in wild celebration with a group, on a beach with a campfire; in meditative circles where we plundered in to feel the one root beneath all duality; in women’s talking and drumming circles, in a plaintive, lamenting wail for Sacred Union; immersed in cozy blankets, a steaming cup of herbal tea and books of poetry, Rumi, David Whyte, Mary Oliver.

My current, favorite way to work with our beloved, Sacred, Beaming Full Moon Light is to recognize its primal role as turning point between the in/out rhythm of life.  There is an in and out phase to everything, from our birth to our death, from our night to our day, from each in breath to each out breath.  These cycles, and so many more, have a cyclic span determined by the breadth of their circumference; some cycles are wider, and therefore, take longer, than other circles. The rhythmic pattern of a cycle, though, one half activity and the other half rest, is always the same.

The more complex our world gets; the more the basics help stabilize. That is why I go back, eons, perhaps, to remember, acknowledge and feel this simple in/out rhythm that our Moon models for us each month.  From New to Full Moon we are in active mode.  From Full to the end of the cycle, the Balsamic Moon, we are in rest mode.

lunar-eclipse-1192664_1280

Perhaps you are thinking, “Ridiculous, who could live like this?” Please consider that this is how our planet lives.  This is how our planet lives in relation to its place in the cosmos. This is how our Moon has modeled timing for us since the beginning of human life on earth. This is how our bodies live, whether we bring consciousness to this rhythm or not.

Yes, we are in a modern world that lives by 24/7 access to everything that we want.  However, our Moon mirrors this secret – the repeating pattern of activity and rest inherent in all the cycles, and cycles are the nature of life.

It is my operating premise that when we align with this core rhythm, as reflected by the fluid flow of Moon Light, we help ourselves root within the sustaining rhythm of life. To me, this is the ultimate in self-care, to feel and align our rhythmic body with the rhythmic body of cosmos, in sync and on time.

We have come a long way from consciously aligning with this core rhythm.  Some of us, perhaps you, and me, do live this alignment because not doing so throws us off kilter, spinning with no reliable tether.  The Moon and her fluid flow of Light does anchor us in the cyclic pattern of being, releasing and becoming.

What this means in practical terms is that you start recognizing, within your body, the surging build energy from New to Full Moon, and the dissipating, dissolving energy in the last half of the Moon’s cycle. We gather and build in the first half and reflect, process, disseminate and integrate in the last half.

Once we readmit this basic rhythm into sensate awareness, our body, our Divine Intelligence, our Intuition, our activated link with a living, loving Cosmic Field, guides us to next steps.

If you are already living this alignment, please let me know. If living like this sparks a compelling invitation within you, please let me know. It is time to call a Moon and Her Secrets circle together.

Sacred Timing

play-994676_1280-dark-moon

When our Moon empties out at the end of a cycle, there is no light in the night sky. Correspondingly, during dark Moon times, our own light turns inward, in sync with a gravitational pull to slow down and be still.  This inward pull to stillness, to being with our deep selves, occurs twice each month. Once with the Collective Lunar Cycle, and once with the Personal Lunar cycle.

Both cycles, the personal and the collective, have the same rhythmic pattern; it is the start days that vary. The Collective Lunar Cycle starts with the New Moon, and the Personal Lunar Cycle starts with the phase of the Moon in which you are born. The Dark Moon, this inward pull to quiet receptivity, occurs three days before the New Moon in both the personal and collective cycles.

A Dark Moon in the collective cycle is occurring as I post this blog article.  The New Moon occurs Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 1:39 PM Eastern Daylight Time. This means that the Collective Dark Moon starts Thursday, October 27, 2016, in the afternoon in US Eastern time zone.  The inward pull toward quiet refection begins on Thursday and continues through the weekend, until the New Moon.  Within a day after the New Moon, we start to feel the upward energy surge again.

Not everyone feels this timing. It can start with a nudge, a pull toward stillness, reflection, rest, quiet. If you sense any of this, please open the invitation. The more we align with natural, cyclic timing, the more the experience becomes familiar to us. Like all new skill sets, when we pay attention, we open receptor pathways of the original blueprints that our bodies are timers.

The Personal Lunar Cycle is the other cycle with this rhythmic pattern of slowing down, release and renewal. I just had my Personal Dark Moon; It started late Friday, October 21, 2016, continued through Saturday, all day Sunday and ended with my Personal New Moon, Monday morning, October 24, 2016 in the 8 o’clock hour.

I anticipate the personal dark Moon phase as a sacred holiday. This is a time when I honour the whole of my life in synchronized flow with our living Universe. For us, on Earth, flow means the Moon is involved.

I have been aligning with this sacred timing since 1993.  For 95% of this time, I have planned and scheduled around this pivotal timing. I have minimized commitments, laid low, and observed sensate release and regeneration typical of cyclic endings and beginnings.

Seven years ago, I took a nursing job on a per diem basis, even though I worked fulltime. I choose to forego benefits like paid time off so that  I could control my schedule and not have to work on low energy Personal Dark Moon days.  There is predictive value in knowing this rhythm, and I used it for self-care and well-being, and to optimize the potent receptivity (intuition, inner knowing, coming to center) inherent during Dark Moon times.

This past Personal Lunar Cycle, though, I was under deadline for a high-pressured, freelance writing assignment and I had to work through the low energy time. Eliminating distractions, cancelling social plans and staying focused on the writing task, I did muster the stamina to complete the task. It took all that I had, energetically and emotionally.

The carrot at the end of the stick was that I knew the Moon was void of course all day on Monday, enhancing my ability to rest post project. My schedule was clear and I gave myself a do-nothing day. It was calm, sweet, comfortable, quiet, relaxing and restorative.

On Tuesday, I was aware of still needing a little slower down time and I eased into the day with that awareness, of being kind with myself.

I have been through enough of these Personal Lunar Cycle turnings to know that if I do not stop and be still during this precious, sacred time, a depression, an irritability, an out of sorts experience shows up.  It is the beast in nature; if we do not feed the beast what it needs, in this case rest and quiet, it roars in ugliness.

I did not get the stillness that I needed during my Personal Dark Moon, however, I knew enough to not continue forward before taking deep rest. I was a little off schedule, however, I still gave myself the self-care and stillness that I needed.

Our bodies need these rest and reset times daily, twice within the Lunar Cycle, one Personal, one Collective, and yearly, right before our birthday, with our Solar Return.

tiger-1673874_1280-resting

I want to shout from the rooftop, I want to play the trumpet and bang the cymbals, I want to sing an operatic High C to let people know about these natural cycle turnings, these pivot times of stop and restart. Coming to zero point with nature’s timing is an exquisite, sacred experience.

Much of what I read these days is that answers to our challenges are found through self-love. Listening to, and heeding, the needs of our precious human bodies, is to me, ultimate expression of self-love. In Sacred Heart living, listening for what the body needs is high priority.

For those new to this sacred timing, I am in the process of developing online training for recognizing and honouring these sacred cycle alignments. I anticipate these products to be ready on or before Spring, 2017.

Those who have taken my personal lunar cycle classes know this timing and I welcome your sharing on the value of this timing in your life. Please add your comments in the comments section below!

The Deep Octave of No Thought

This past week I drove 16 hours, alone and in one day, with monster clouds at the dark end of the drive. The next day, I had my Dark Moon in the Personal Lunar Cycle. The Dark Moon in both Personal and Collective Lunar Cycles is like no gas in the tank. We empty out; this is the ebb before the flow at the start of the next cycle.

On these days last week, I was tired to the point of speechlessness; an eviscerating stripping of all that was nonessential. In the midst of that tiredness was the absence of thought. I was too tired to think!

In these writings I often mention that with the shift to 5D we operate from sensate experience rather than through the thought plane of 3D. While I have practiced this new way quite a lot, I have not ever experienced the complete and surrounding absence of thought as I did last week.

This experience brought me to a deeper octave of “no thought.” Trying to articulate the experience is challenging, because the experience is beyond words. There was a calmness, a penetrating stillness and safety with it that I noticed, loved and appreciated.

Despite being in the midst of a transcontinental move, and the packing and saying goodbyes and hellos associated with this move, and baseline life with work and laundry, cooking and cleaning, there was nothing to think about; energy was applied to being; to breathing and feeling physicality in a simplified, atmospherically reverberating way. (Animate in a Living, Loving, Responsive Field.)

I want more of this deep octave of no thought. It was warm and comforting with a pervasive sense of presence in All is Well.

In this New Field of the 5th Dimension and beyond, we are informed in each moment. Thinking short-circuits present moment awareness. Thought takes away possibilities, received through sensate knowing and intuition. Yes, this is a whole new way of being.

This past week I had a deep and direct experience of freedom from thought. One metaphoric description might be “Heaven on Earth.” In my direct experience, it is a whole new dimension of presence and it is awesome.

Have you considered practicing absence of thought? It is one  way of opening to living in the present moment. A great, international teacher on this topic is Eckhart Tolle. He has books, a website and many YouTube videos with which to start your practice, if you are interested.

I welcome questions and comments about your experience releasing thought as a main access to life. I am available as a teacher and companion guide if you would like assist on this courageous journey.

The Nature of Multidimensional Living

Multidimensional living calls for supreme self-care. We have to adjust to this new way of being because the tools and techniques we used no longer work. We are in the land of not knowing and we get by through paying attention to sensate experiences within the present moment – what are we feeling, what is our body telling us, what do our senses perceive?

For many, this new way of sensate living means that drive and ambition no longer rule the day. Things that mattered do not seem to matter now. Pushing ourselves seems to hurt more than ever before. What does seem to matter is if what we are choosing has core meaning for us and if we are getting pleasure and fulfillment from our choices.

Through conversations and reading about this shift, many people report extended times of doing nothing; of just needing to rest. One reason for the increasing need for rest is that our bodies are adjusting, too, to this new way of being. Our physicality needs to accommodate to the new capacities inherent in multidimensional living. Specifically, Light is filling our bodies, saturating the places of density that are dissolving in this fluid, new light. These densities include responses like stubbornness or needing to be right or obstinacy or fear or so many other habituated patterns that have clogged our systems.

We also need rest in order to release adaptive beliefs and conditioning that no longer function in this new time. Some of these old ways include being reactionary or defensive. Those approaches no longer work; when they pop up, we can see that they cost false effort and get in the way of being present to current potential.

The Eastern martial arts of moving aside, deflecting, even retreating, come to mind. It is no longer worth the fight. A motivator now is to stay present with the moment. Everything is fleeting, as each new moment comes in with new information, new potential and new opportunities.  Keeping up with this constant new flow while letting go of outdated responses, seems to matter now. We make choice, let go of forcing outcome and notice what takes form in this new life. We notice what has energy for us and what does not.

To choose living this new way takes courage and stamina, and this is the value of supreme self-care. Each individual gets to choose what self-care looks like. There is no one size fits all. There are some guidelines, though. Paying attention to what the body wants, what the emotions are broadcasting, what the Soul wants.  And that all takes listening. The kind of listening that has open space for hearing.

To say that these are challenging times is an understatement of an exponential degree. We have not been here before, there is no guidebook, other than the one we carry within our body and Soul. Multidimensional living means that we now have access to knowing beyond our three dimensional world. We are being informed through invisible channels of communication that involve synchronicity with our natural world and the existing, living energies beyond anything our consciousness has known. It is a big world and we are receptors and co-creators.  If our response is to shut down and block reception, and that is a choice, we are saying no to this new, multidimensional life. On the other hand, when we look around and see that most people are in this land of not knowing with us, we can choose to share our experiences and learn with one another how to navigate this new, multidimensional life.

What is your new story? How are you flowing with multidimensional life now? How are you practicing supreme self-care? Please share in the comments section below!

3 Suggestions for Slowing Down

Feeling lost and confused lately? In our current, life-changing dimensional shift, everyone is challenged. Slowing down so that we can hear our own inner guidance is crucial. Self-care is key to slowing down. In slowing down, we change the conditioned, habitual patterning that causes us to stay busy, to force forward, to suppress the wisdom of our inner experience.

The 3rd Dimension was about drive and ambition. The 5th Dimension is mellower than that.  It no longer works to go outside of the present moment or to push for outcomes. In this new, multidimensional experience, the practices of overworking, overdoing, overthinking and staying busy agitate our functioning and get in the way of knowing what to do, when.

Why Slow Down?

Before we get to the 3 Suggestions for Slowing Down, let’s look at the value of slowing down.

We are no longer operating solely on the mental plane. We are being informed through our entire sensate experience; the channels of this receptivity are unique to each of us; some feel things, others see things, and others hear things, some can know by touch.  Some people are open to the signs that come their way as they travel through their day. The change, now, is that we can no longer think our way through something. Our minds do not have all of the information. If we open to the knowing that comes through our sensate experiences, we get a bigger, clearer picture, as well as a sense of timing. For instance, we might know that we do not yet have all the information that is needed to discern an optimal choice; we might be getting the information to wait.

The 5th Dimension is a multidimensional experience, opening us to a greater reality than is possible within the confines of the 3rd and 4th Dimensions. The 5th Dimension is also a portal to even higher dimensional frequencies. In order to access information that comes to us through our body’s connection with this Living Field of Love and Energy (Possibility) and Knowing, we have to be still.  We have to allow for space in the gaps of our doing.

There are rhythms in nature and there are rhythms within our bodies; we are not 24/7 machines like the ATM at the end of your street. We cycle and ebb and flow and we need good, quality sleep, rest and play and relaxation for optimal functioning. These are some of the reasons why it is helpful to slow down.

Another reason to slow down is that in the 5th Dimension, fear is released. Much of our constant activity is based on fear – deadlines, enough money in the bank, external approval from a boss or a team. You have probably heard this many times, fear has no essence. One of our earlier US Presidents even said this, “Nothing to fear but fear itself.” Our 3rd Dimension experiences were so fear- based that it takes a long, long time, to get this as a truth: fear is a control mechanism and can be released.  One way we release fear is by staying in the present moment.  This is a whole other blog topic, maybe for another time.

For now, the focus is on slowing down. If you have a wiry type body, what is known in the Ayurvedic tradition as a Vata body, or if you were born in the first half of the Lunar Cycle, the waxing Moon from New Moon to Full Moon, then you probably do have an innate orientation to high energy levels.  Your natural state might be motion, however, every living organism has ebb and flow rhythms. For those with heavier body types and those born in the waning Moon, from Full to the end of the Lunar Cycle, slowing down for you might mean taking to the bed occasionally.

Slowing down is a vital skill set for everyone in this shift from 3D to 5D.  The slowing down might look different for you than it does for a loved one or a friend, so please allow comparisons and judgement to fly out the window as you explore your own experiences of slowing down.

The 3 Suggestions for Slowing Down

We change through learning and we learn by doing. To rewire prior conditioning of habitual busyness, accept that learning to slow down takes practice, every day and through multiple, experiential ways.

  1. For part of your daily routine, whether it is in the morning as you wake up or before you go to bed, or during your commute to or from work, be silent, free of radio, tunes, TV. Try this for 5 to 10 minutes and just be still and contemplative as you go about your activity. Notice your breathing, notice your emotion. If fear or anxiety come up, by all means turn on the sounds, however, also try to slow breath through any surfacing anxiety.  If you do experience peace through this practice of a sound stimulation-free time, gradually add minutes, maybe upping your “in silence” time to 30 minutes or longer.

The point of this practice is to increase the comfort level with silence so that, over time, there is more familiarity with listening to intuition and the sensate informing that comes through the living energy field around us.

  1. Consider exploring adding an herbal tea to your daily intake. Or, consider the use of aromatherapy to help still your active mind and body. Some common herbs have a soothing effect and support the body in calming down.  You can research these through many sources. If you go to a health food store, you might be able to buy a small amount of an herb you would like to try from their bulk herb section.

Aromatherapy works on the primitive brain and its use can have an immediate calming effect. Explore aromatherapy options, they come in roll on applicators, creams that you can rub into your wrist, or in essential oils. Sniffing something like a rose oil can have an immediate calming effect to a stressed body. Research aromas that call to you.  Please note that many products used in aromatherapy might not be safe for use with children.  Consult references or professionals to learn more.

Allowing the body to calm, through use of an herbal tea or through the sense of smell, can have a direct effect on slowing down the mind. If it calls to you to use herbs or aromatherapy, practice using them regularly, maybe a couple of times each week over a period of some months. Consistent experiential learning can groove a new imprint.

  1. The last suggestion is to snatch moments through the day and practice slowing down.  For instance, between tasks that you do, stop for 3 to 5 minutes, stretch if you can, close your eyes, breath deep, simply stop.  Taking mini breaks like this throughout the day will recalibrate the mindset of keeping going.  A few ideas for integrating a habit of stopping include: after a meeting, go into the bathroom if you have no other place of privacy and take a few minutes to relax the muscles in your body, relax your face by smiling, even though you might not feel like it, close your eyes, massage your hands, rotate your shoulders, your wrists and your ankles. Look out the window for a few uninterrupted minutes and allow your thoughts to float like the clouds.  Acknowledge when your mind and body need a short break and give them what they want. Consciously assist in the recalibration from overdoing into conscious listening to your own inner experience.

Slowing down is a learned experience, built through trial and error, consistent practice and the cumulative joy that living a slowed down life brings. Please let me know, through the comments section below, how you are slowing down now and how that feels to you.

3rd in a Series of Letting Go

Down the rabbit hole and the only substance involved was raw, unfiltered, multidimensional Life.

For the past two weeks these blog posts have been about Letting Go and that theme continued as a lived experience for me this past week.  Our collective move from life in 3D to life in 5D is uncharted territory. Nothing is the same as it was, we are not quite sure how we got here and we have no clue as to what is next. There are moments that are super challenging and cause us to have to let go of rational understanding. Our hearts are open, and our eyes, yet the shifts are rapid and complete; at times it feels like we are white water rafting in the course of daily life. Whew!

The Move

In response to my personal alignment with this shift to 5D, I have made major life changes. I left employment that I enjoyed, yet was done with, and left family and friends to relocate to be near a big, beautiful, massive body of water in daily life. This move was an affirmative response to a call from Nature to live near Lake Superior, and in a place where I might find more community than I had previously known. I, like so many others, have been aching for community.

I have found community and the sustaining beauty of nature, however, after one year, I do not feel settled.  At times I feel like a ping pong ball in my own life. Here, there, where? This was not how it was “supposed” to be.  I made the move in good faith and with informed choice, yet the settling in experience, at times, feels severe.

This week, my letting go experience was in releasing to full and total surrender. As children in play, we used to call this “crying uncle.” In adult life, it is unconditioned surrender. Feeling through each Now is all that I can do. Multidimensional consciousness is just that; we are living with layers of consciousness like the layers of bands within old trees and layers of sediment from the surface of the Earth to its core. We have to deal with multiple levels simultaneously. This can feel confusing and overwhelming, beyond the capacities of our regular coping. We need a bigger field of coping and surrender, with its release of conditioned responses, helps us find our way within this larger, untraveled territory.

I used to work as a professional astrologer and pieces of that work continue through my current work with Natural Time and Intuition and Time as a Felt Experience, with Body as Timer.  I let go of working more fully with astrology because it seems to me that we are, collectively, working with a much bigger canvas now than our solar system. It seems to me that we are working with systems way beyond what is known. By systems, I mean galactic and supergalactic spirals of cosmic community. We have been invited to this grand new arena, yet we do not know the territory. We learn as we go.

As a way of dealing with multidimensional living, I do, occasionally, look at my own chart and have awareness of major transits as they occur in real time.  One of the major transits that I have going on now, personally, has traditionally been associated with depression. It is a reformative energy on the emotional life, this I know. This transit has had one layer of the multilayer effect of multidimensional life now and that contributing effect takes me to rock bottom where the only viable option is to walk in the forest of surrender.

Angst, yes, momentarily, however, also a gift. This most recent experience of surrender has helped me release me from willfulness, force and effort. Ah, yes. If only. In my current state, I have had to let go of thinking that I have answers for major life choices, like living here, there, where? In my current state of accepted surrender, my recourse is to keep moving through each moment with the inner inquiry of “What’s next.” Where is the energy for me in this moment? What calls my attention for focus? Where do I feel alignment? Each choice has to be consciously considered and long-term planning is not operational.

Choice-making

In everyone’s life there are myriad choices regarding what can bring happiness, what can bring joy, what can bring money, what can bring fulfillment, what can bring connection. In my personal life, with this collective, unprecedented shift of dimensional consciousness, I pay attention to what has my awareness, I offer daily prayer for dissolution of the veil between conscious and unconscious and I ask and listen regarding what has life for me and what does not have life for me.

I ask for help, from my Soul, from the New Field, from Life, to breathe through the rocks and hard places, breath through the angst, breath through the FEAR, breath through not knowing. With all that breathing, I notice that I am still standing. It is not easy, yet there are moments of relief, release, wonder and informed direction.

It helps to pay attention to the things that matter to me.  For instance, there was a communal invitation this week was to participate in a labyrinth walk, part of World Labyrinth Day. I have walked labyrinths before and while this spiritual practice has not been a personal path for me, I did want to participate in this local event.

Our group was blessed by a facilitator who knows labyrinth walking. He suggested that we start our walk with an intentional prayer and work with the 3 Rs, Release as we go in; Receive as we are at the Center; Return (to wholeness) on the walk out. Being in active surrender mode now, the release part was comforting. In the center of the labyrinth that we walked, there is a bench. As I reached the center, I sat on the bench, deeply kissed by the sun, and I asked to receive. Information came pouring through the sunrays and up through the encircled Earth and through the silent care of community. It was magnificent.  Answers did come, pieces of the big puzzle of a personal life, sustaining filaments threading to next moments.

Our lives are unfolding in sometimes angst-filled ways, not unlike earlier times in everyone’s life. Yet now, the path is uncharted and long term planning seems defunct. We are doing this new life piece by piece, choice by choice. It hurts if we try to get too far ahead of ourselves because then we are taken away from the moment, where the information is. I was driven to the ground of surrender and I did surrender. It seems that this is the beginning of a new world, not the end. With each surrender, and based on my own inner sensate volition, my own, sharply honed inner truth discerning of “Yes, this does have life for me or no, thank you, I pass,” I align with this greater canvas of uncharted territory, this bigger picture that is dancing us into our new life.

Like so many others, I thought this process would be over by now, that we would have reached the land of Nirvana and life would be easy, breezy and effortless. I have been on this path since the Harmonic Convergence of August, 1987 and the “payoff” always seems just around the corner. As I experienced in the labyrinth walk, the corners keep turning.

How about you and your life challenges now? Is surrender part of the currency of your life, too? Do share your surrender story in the comments below.
