Resolving the Pain of Self-Abandonment

Summerfair is a juried art show that occurs the first weekend in June on the banks of the Ohio River, here in Cincinnati. This is an art event I look forward to every year.  The Sun shines high, vibrant colours abound and crowds of people explore the art, curious and happy.

The day I attended Summerfair this year was a perfect weather day, and I was delighted to enjoy the experience with my sister. I find that contemplating the paintings, woodwork, metal work, jewelry, fiber arts, feeds my Soul. After my sister and I bought bold, fun summer wear from one of the vendors, we stopped to eat lunch on a bench in the shade, overlooking the muddy brown Ohio River. The essence of this River has imprinted my Soul since childhood.

After lunch, I checked my phone and found an email message confirming an apartment viewing appointment at 3:30 PM that day. And here is where I lost it. Rather than stop, tune in and discern a choice between seeing that apartment or enjoying the rest of the fair, I lost presence and did not even consider that there was a choice. Sheepishly, I went to look at the apartment.

I only recognized that there was a choice when we arrived at the apartment parking lot and saw how dismal the place was. I did not even go in to view the apartment.

The refrain “Wouda, coulda, shoulda,” played in my mind. The rental price was a giveaway, had I consciously assessed the offering. The price was far enough off to indicate that it was a no, even before I said yes to the appointment. If I had the presence of mind to realize a choice was at stake, I could have declined the appointment and stayed at the fair. Instead, I flowed listlessly, like a log on the River, wasting time and effort. In consequence, I suffered the loss of feeling incomplete with this year’s Summerfair.

Michele Mayama taught a technique where you check in with your’s Soul’s wisdom by asking a question and then feeling through the soles of the feet if there is life related to what is asked, or not. I have used these technique for years and find it to be reliable. A yes answer had a response of upward surging, a no answer is flat and when our Soul or Body  wants no part of what is being asked about, there is a downward pull, like a repulsed response: a definite no.  Had I even stopped to ask if there was life for me in going to view the apartment, the response, I am sure, would have been no.

Instead, I was left with a deflated feeling of loss, discomfort and dissonance. I was upset because I lost presence and did not discern choice about something that held value for me.

I had obsessive thoughts about what I missed by leaving the fair early.  It was a challenge to let that go.  Four times I asked, through my feet, if there was life for me in going back to the Fair on Sunday, to capture what I missed seeing on Saturday. Every time I received a flat-out NO.

A few days later, a friend shared a Jeff Brown quote and a phrase from that quote resonated like cathedral bells: “The more embedded our methods of self-distraction, the more agitating the truth-aches calling us back to authenticity.” Truth-ache, this was the pain of it; I abandoned myself and had acute truth-ache because of it.

Moving through the loss associated with missing a sizable portion of this year’s fair brought flashes of what it might be like on the deathbed. I can imagine one might say, think or feel, “Oh, no I am not ready to leave, I did not get to see everything or have all the experiences I wanted to have.”

Interestingly, on my Facebook feed that day, someone posted a quote from Rumi: “At the moment of our death we wake up laughing.” This quote lit me up!

I have heard that the Dalia Lama works on his own death a little every day. I am not sure what he does, however, I imagine preparing for ease at death might involve practice with letting go, feeling loss, more letting go and opening to the infinite, unconditioned possibilities of Presence with each moment.

Every truth-ache has a learning where we go beyond the pain and sense the underlying need. For me, in this Summerfair experience, the identified needs are to not abandon myself, to stay present, and to feed my Soul more art.

I am returning to Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way’s practice of  weekly cultural dates with myself. I am checking local listings for art fairs and cultural events. I am slow stopping to consider that each moment holds choice. When I die, I want to be full up and ready, not a moment of this precious life wasted through abandoning Presence, and choice.

There are Two Outcomes, We Either Rise in Frequency, or We Stay Stuck

The closing line of my daily prayer is, “Everything I need is here,” and my living anthem is, “All is Well.” Saying these words and living them are two different things, and I am at the place of Great Divide. Now is the time for me to live the alignment. Maybe your experience is that it is that time for you, too.

Our Quantum Dimensional Shift is the biggest, boldest frontier humanity has ever faced. What got us here, rational thought, consciousness of duality, no longer works.

How to climb out of habituated limitations and into the Living, Fluid Light? Many of us have been preparing for this shift for eons.  Other peoples’ work helps, like Tosha Silver’s Outrageous Openness, or Eckhart Tolle’s masterful help with Presence in the Moment, along with multiple others. However, it feels that the time is now for internal accountability rather than external influence.  The leap is Now. Mission Critical. No time to wait.

One place where I get mentally hung up is the old paradigm thinking of what about them? If I have this, whatever it is, what about them, how will “they” get it? One thing that I did learn from 15 years of Tibetan Buddhist practice is that there are no comparisons, yet I still attempt for all  things to be equal. Our Universe is varied, abundant,  and there is enough for all. I can no longer allow myself to get hung up at this lower frequency vibration that comes from limitation.

Another signifier of this time is the Sovereignty of our Beingness. We are our own Boss now, no deferring to others, and no one knows our path better than we do. We must take what is ours to take with the Grace of our own Divinity. To choose this requires sustained living at higher frequencies.

There are two outcomes, we either rise in frequency, or we stay stuck.

I choose to rise in frequency. Deep-seated patterns of worry and fear are juxtapositioned with All is Possible and living, breathing that this is so.  I can no longer stay stuck in what was, despite feeling fragile as I live this New Way.

It helps to re member the elusive essence of Soul. When we are Soul Directed, as so many of us are, we are not limited to 3D consciousness or even 5D consciousness.  Our Souls know, and they do their best to inform us if we only listen and allow.  Our minds do not know better than our Souls.

Feeding the Soul is critical now, as this is what informs us while mind no longer leads the way. What feeds your Soul? Please share in the comments section. My soul is fed through plenty of down time, doing nothing, hanging out in the silent spaciousness. Many other choices also feed my Soul, however, this one is primary.

We were made for this Great Shift. As spiritual beings in human form, we came in multidimensional. The Dimensions are opening and inviting us Home. Staying with the familiar, the patterned, we might miss the re Union.  This is what is at stake Now.

A Tale of the Freeing Experience of Nonlinear Time

I have had challenges accessing Pandora in my car lately. Sometimes the Bluetooth channel will play Pandora, and sometimes even that does not work. I stopped listening to NPR news before the 2016 election. While silence is my general preference, there are times that I enjoy listening to jazz while driving.

Twice now, when Pandora did not work, I clicked on the Bluetooth tab, and no jazz plays from there, either. What comes on is a U2 album. This is a track from an actual album, not Pandora. There is a USB port in my car, however, no flash drive is plugged into it. I have not ever purchased or downloaded music from U2 and have no idea where this is coming from. I click the fast forward button on the car’s touch screen and a mp3 recording of a channeled session that I had saved years ago starts playing.

Curious to revisit these teachings, I stay with it. The channeled session comes from 2012, it seems, and is a session of Michele Mayama channeling Mary Magdalene.

In this session, Mary Magdalene responds to a participant’s question about intuition. While I missed these words when the session was live, I heard them the other day. Mary Magdalene said that intuition comes from a limited perspective. She talked about everyone’s birthright to full consciousness — to know the whole and the full. In any given moment. She shared that intuition is a small facet of full capacity consciousness.

This full awareness is what multidimensional consciousness offers. Through all of our being, particularly, sensate experiences, we can see, feel, hear, access the whole picture.

What a liberating way to regard consciousness. This full spectrum approach upgrades intuition from a facet glimpse to a nonlinear experience of multidimensional presence

These higher dimensions are real. Our highest wisdom recognizes them as a felt experience, even if we cannot name it.  When we claim our higher dimensional home, we claim more parts of our power. We raise our capacity and we see more, touch more, feel more, know more. In a recent post on Soulstice Rising, Ascension Notes, Kara Schallock writes that human beings are bringing these higher dimensions in as a grid formation that is the New Earth.

In multidimensional consciousness, time is non-linear.  This means that information from years ago, can pop up on your radar, or radio like it did for me, or some flash of future can come into consciousness as real and alive and accessible.

Notice how experiences of nonlinear time show up for you. We can pay attention as these experiences happen. Notice how only the present is real, and stay there, with each new moment. Release regret, longing, fear, shame, blame, guilt. Present moment aligns our multidimensional consciousness with Deep Earth, and High Heaven, and stretches us out to full surround.

Being conscious of the present allows us to feel, know and choose next steps. Let go of the  plotted line for life experience, the linear time frame that goes from here to there to there. In its place, allow the swirling spiral of Now, with its fulcrum in multidimensional consciousness, to anchor you. Allow your Soul and the Universe to unfold You.

Please share your experiences with the release of linear time in the comments section.

Opening to Receive: 5 Tips to Get to Yes

When someone compliments you,  do you accept, wide open, with no questioning? Or, do pre-conditioned responses of resistance come into play? Are you even keel with giving and receiving, or are you always  giving?  Life within a  responsive Universe requires that we live in dynamic equilibrium with both  giving and receiving.

In last week’s post, I wrote how the split between body and mind is lessening and use of intuition is increasing. For these great changes to happen though, we must be open to receive. Issues of false pride and subscribing to hierarchy are no longer functional. In hierarchy’s place is awareness of our own supreme sovereignty. That message, delivered Ages ago, the Kingdom of Heaven is Within” reflects present reality.

As I wrote last week, we are moving toward the direct experience of Oneness. Going through life blocking the reality that we are part of, that we belong, results in tremendous waste and keeps us from receiving what is ours to receive.

If receiving remains a challenge, here are five suggestions to consider for opening to the wild, raw, living current of Life that says Yes.

  1. Consider that being closed to receiving is an adaptive response. Notice how a baby responds to a face reflecting unconditional love: there is joy, delight, openness, receptivity! Practice receiving at that infant pleasure level next time someone praises you.

  1. Allowing unconditional love involves trust. If you feel there is no one whom you can trust, go to nature. Beam in the spectacle of night sky, or a vibrant-with-life tree, or a serenading bird or the breathtaking colours of sunrise and sunset. Allow yourself to receive natural beauty as mirror reflection of you.

  1. Say Yes when your Soul nudges you to say Yes. You will know when a No is appropriate, however, consciously stretch to Yes when No feels false or habitual. This Amazon page lists books related to saying yes.

  1. Using a mirror, look yourself in the eye and applaud yourself!  This practice, from Spring Forest Qigong,  opens the heart meridian. Do try this and note how it feels!

  1. Consider that you may be adept at opening to receive and that the challenge is Opening to Be Received.

During eons of life in 3rd Dimension, many of us had to hide. Intuitives, healers, wise women and men, we could not openly show who we are.  We can be who we are now and opening to be received might represent a new chapter in living the truth that we are part of and do belong. Your gifts, talents, wisdom are a crucial part of our collective unfolding into 5D.

If opening to be received is part of your challenge, start small and stay consistent with sharing who you are and what is yours to give. Trust that the opening to fulfillment is yours and receive it. Pay attention to how your sensate body guides and directs you. Open to receive that inner wisdom, and you will find your way to opening to be received.

Blessing wishes for all giving and receiving

The Death of Duality

Duality is dying. It might not seem so as we witness the divisiveness within first nation politics. Yet, duality, with its sense of separation, is dissolving. The Resistance Movement, whether we are activists or not, unites us and helps lift the veil of delusion. We are no longer fooled into accepting that we are separate beings. That fiction is no longer fact.

Through the global resistance movement, we embody the experience of Oneness and live interconnectedness. While the transition from duality into Oneness is not pretty, it is authentic. This same shift from duality into harmonic wholeness is true within our personal experience, as well.

We are no longer separate mind and body, we are bodymind. And notice which comes first in that word! The divisive split of spirit from matter, mind from body, consciousness from soul, human from nature, animal from human, has dissolved for many and is dissolving for many others. We are freer, now, to live an intuitive life, a life that is directed by an inner knowing of interconnectedness with all that is. Living an Intuitive Life means that we feel our truth, own it, and live it.

Living the Intuitive Life is the tagline for my blog because this is core to my beingness, my purpose on Earth. Ignoring intuition, this living channel of Field support, feels like a mortal wound and it seems to take a lifetime, or more, to keep this channel open.

A story in point: The other day I had errands that would have taken me to five different neighborhoods.  I could not possibly make all those trips in one afternoon. As I was deliberating a choice, my intuition slid in with the question, “What would it be like to live intuitively?”  Yes, this is the question my intuition, an information source I have actively been connecting with for decades, had to come and gently ask.

A memory of example also slipped into consciousness. A friend needed a new tablecloth for a special event. Rather than go here, there and everywhere in search of THE tablecloth, she asked her intuition. It responded, she listened and on one trip she found the tablecloth she wanted.

When we release mental rigidity, and the pushing, forcing, and insisting that comes with it, and we open, instead, to a soft flow of surrender within a Field that wants to inform us, life becomes effortless. Some moments are bumpier than others, however, if we relax into All is Well, we can trust the gift and the growth of a challenging experience, We can relax, allow, and receive.

This surrender to an informing Field is not self-abandonment.  It is an embodiment of consciousness that fuses body, mind, sensate experience, Soul and the living, informing Field, into Presence. Through this knowing presence, we are longer duped and disturbed by a cognitive dissonance that comes from not living our own wisdom and Oneness, our own intuition.

How does it feel to have the split between mind and body lessen in your daily life? How does it feel to trust your intuition more fully? Are you practicing on smaller, every day choices, such as holding an orange while grocery shopping, and asking “Does this have life for me?”  This is how we start living an intuitive life; we start small, in everyday matters, and we build from there.

One way to build relationship with intuition is to put one hand on the middle of your chest and the other hand on your lower abdomen; enjoy deep exhalations, relax, trust that Life is a Yes and that you are shapeshifting through challenges, then ask your intuition what you long to know.

How Do You Feel When You Have a Synchronous Event?

fractal-1147253_1280

Lately, I have had amazing experiences of synchronicity. It is not so much what happened, rather, how I felt when the synchronous experiences occurred. The visceral experience is one of feeling connected and cared for; alive within an active feedback loop with the Universe.

We go through life conscious of our wishes, wants, desires, longings. We express them through spoken or written word, through feelings and visualizations. We express them through prayer, ritual and action.

Synchronicity involves a connective experience of inner longing with outer manifestation. With synchronicity, a version of our longing shows up in materialized form and in Divine timing. Many readers of this blog know Time as an inner experience. Our ancestors knew and lived this, too. Synchronous experiences, major and minor, are experiences of majical, alive or Divine Timing. This kind of timing reveals the recognition of Self and Universe as connected. Staying receptive to synchronicity is really living in a time-free zone – anything can happen, at anytime, so we stay open to the experience that All is Possible.

It can take a shift in consciousness to receive synchronous events. For the past 2000 years, at least, we have been conditioned to exert effort.  In this New Time of the 5th Dimension, of which increased synchronicity is a part, effort is replaced by presence.

Since  writing the blog post on stopping thinking, I have been noticing when my thoughts go to future.  As soon as I notice this, I bring awareness back to the present. It seems this practice might have something to do with the increase in synchronous events I have been receiving lately.

Synchronicity is also connected with intuition because one has to know, and choose, when and where to place one’s self in order to align with the synchronous event.

Releasing attachment to outcome also helps increase the experience of synchronicity. Acceptance is much easier when we receive what is offered without judging it. “This or something better” we ask, and the Universe delivers.

Aureal Williams

One major change in the shift to 5th Dimension Consciousness is the direct experience that we are not alone.  We are in a collaborative, co-creative experience with the morphic Field of all and within a living, loving, responsive Universe.

We are no longer isolated, cut off lone wolves. We are communal, part of, we belong. This is a major shift, especially, for those of us in the United States, as our country was founded on a frontier experience of survival and independence. We are Global now, and Cosmically interactive. We always were; now we have more awareness of it.

Synchronicity is important. It is part of the new 5th Dimension experience, it is part of living in the present moment, it is part of intuition, wise listening, and it is part of belonging.

Deepak Chopra writes about synchronicity this way:

According to Vedanta, there are only two symptoms of enlightenment, just two indications that a transformation is taking place within you toward a higher consciousness. The first symptom is that you stop worrying. Things don’t bother you anymore. You become light-hearted and full of joy. The second symptom is that you encounter more and more meaningful coincidences in your life, more and more synchronicities. And this accelerates to the point where you actually experience the miraculous. (quoted by Carol Lynn Pearson in Consider the Butterfly)” Deepak Chopra, Synchrodestiny: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence to Create Miracles

Here’s to synchronicity.  May your life be filled with it! Please share in the comments how it feels when you receive synchronous experiences.

Sunrise, Sunset

sunrise

Through a moving FB post, a friend opened me to a new experience of Natural Time – the simple noticing of Sunrise and Sunset and their daily fluctuations.

This is a brilliant practice for moving through the hold that cultural conditioning about time tries to have over us. When we honour nature’s fluidity, we open to our own fluidity. For those in affinity with the Divine Feminine, Goddess Energy and Eastern philosophies, dawn and twilight have long been identified as Dakini time, when there is high receptivity to receiving intuition. Sunrise and sunset are Soulful living times.

Personal energy flows, and with it, power, stamina and focus, in relation to the ebbs and flows of the natural world. We are cyclic beings within a cyclic world. We can use information about natural cycles to our advantage. We can use the rhythms of life to plan, schedule, choose and create experiences that optimize our quality of life.

Do you want more time with your kids? Do you want an easier flow through challenging work projects? Do you want rest that satiates and restores you?

If yes, with this blog, you have found a place that offers information, resources, training and support to help you open to the flow of Time as an active participant rather than as passive subject.

For example:

Knowing when the Moon is Void of Course, we can choose to indulge in rest, relaxation, quiet cuddle time or mundane organizational tasks rather than force forward when our satellite, the Moon, has lost connection. With the Moon out of receiving range, our bodies feel this void on the physical energy level; focus is dimmed because the gravitational pull is toward reflection in contrast to action, and work projects meet with delays and difficulties. Work arounds involve knowing when the Moon is void and planning and scheduling accordingly. You can receive direct support about this here.

Knowing about Dark of the Moon days, and planning and scheduling accordingly, enhances dissolution of what has ended with the close of the Lunar cycle. This awareness allows for clear and uncluttered space to receive in the new cycle, with the restart button of each New Moon.

Observing the simple shifts of Sunrises and Sunsets imprints within our psyches the living awareness that we are in sync with the flow of Life.

Additional products to help identify and align with natural cycles, as well as services in support of shifting to an organic experience of Time, are in the works.  The Void of Course Moon Club is already up and running.

If you are not already a subscriber to this newsletter, consider subscribing, you can use the subscription button to the top left, and take advantage of special offers as online training, guided imagery relaxations and Lunar Rhythms Energy Club options come to market.

Love and Peace, and let’s flow!

The Spaciousness of No Judgement

Pattern recognition comes in little slips of awareness when light shines upon shadow, revealing habituated responses that no longer serve us. With so much Light filtering into Life now, pattern recognition presents as an ongoing opportunity.

For me, pattern recognition awareness has been about judgement. In the Western world, we are indoctrinated, through commercials and advertising, especially, to look for and choose perfection.  Life is not like that; we are unique, beautiful individuals in our own right, however, often far from the ideal of beauty and perfection.

I have been aware of how opinions pop into my consciousness as I encounter other people, strangers, especially. This is not my, or anyone else’s, True Nature. We have been conditioned and programmed to be competitive and comparing, judging others over things that are none of our business and do not matter. For me, and maybe for you, this habituated response of judgment no longer works.

wyoming-1678952_1280-ranch

What is it like to encounter strangers without having an opinion or a judgement pop into consciousness?  What is it like to simply encounter others and have a wide open, not preconceived, not conditioned response? This is the current, life- changing assignment that I have chosen to accept.

In the few times I have been free from conditioned response, the experience is spacious and liberating.  My direct experience is not blocked by a limiting opinion; the unconditioned response does not take precious seconds from my life by having a judgement about what someone is wearing or how their hips look. Instead, my consciousness is free of distraction and clutter, open to downloading my own possibilities.

From focused work on accessing this shift to 5D, it is clear to me that living in the present moment is key. When my automatic response to seeing another human being is an opinion or judgement, I am not in the moment. I am bringing baggage from some programmed pre-conditioning that is neither true to me nor to Life.

Having such conditioned responses is a monumental waste of time and resources. I want the freedom that is reflected in a Montana sky or the view of a Wyoming ranch or a gaze across the Great Lake Superior.  I want open, unrestricted, unfettered, unbounded consciousness.

To have this unconditioned consciousness when encountering others means that I keep my mind free, open and clear.  It means when an opinion pops into consciousness, I give it no air time. I breathe and bring my consciousness back to empty where I can catch messages of inspiration, information and guidance for my own life.

Changing this conditioned patterning is going to take deep and consistent practice. It is going to take constant reminders; it is going to take wiping the slate clean of gossip, of magazine and online ads that suggest perfection, of commercials that lie.

I say yes to this change because having opinions and conditioned responses strangle me and I cannot take it anymore.  There is another way. The 5th, and higher, Dimensions invite this kind of freedom shift. This Now provides the Light to see outdated patterns and our Souls reach for the Light. We always have free will regarding personal choices. Once we hear the clarion bell, “Look at this!” how do we choose, yes, or no?

My choice is yes.  With gratitude for seeing the pervasive pattern of judging, I say yes to a free, truer way to live. How about you? What pattern recognition comes to light for you now, to re-pattern for a happier, healthier, freer you? If a pattern does not automatically come to mind, keep asking! Now is prime time for shifting outdated patterns.

The Nature of Multidimensional Living

Multidimensional living calls for supreme self-care. We have to adjust to this new way of being because the tools and techniques we used no longer work. We are in the land of not knowing and we get by through paying attention to sensate experiences within the present moment – what are we feeling, what is our body telling us, what do our senses perceive?

For many, this new way of sensate living means that drive and ambition no longer rule the day. Things that mattered do not seem to matter now. Pushing ourselves seems to hurt more than ever before. What does seem to matter is if what we are choosing has core meaning for us and if we are getting pleasure and fulfillment from our choices.

Through conversations and reading about this shift, many people report extended times of doing nothing; of just needing to rest. One reason for the increasing need for rest is that our bodies are adjusting, too, to this new way of being. Our physicality needs to accommodate to the new capacities inherent in multidimensional living. Specifically, Light is filling our bodies, saturating the places of density that are dissolving in this fluid, new light. These densities include responses like stubbornness or needing to be right or obstinacy or fear or so many other habituated patterns that have clogged our systems.

We also need rest in order to release adaptive beliefs and conditioning that no longer function in this new time. Some of these old ways include being reactionary or defensive. Those approaches no longer work; when they pop up, we can see that they cost false effort and get in the way of being present to current potential.

The Eastern martial arts of moving aside, deflecting, even retreating, come to mind. It is no longer worth the fight. A motivator now is to stay present with the moment. Everything is fleeting, as each new moment comes in with new information, new potential and new opportunities.  Keeping up with this constant new flow while letting go of outdated responses, seems to matter now. We make choice, let go of forcing outcome and notice what takes form in this new life. We notice what has energy for us and what does not.

To choose living this new way takes courage and stamina, and this is the value of supreme self-care. Each individual gets to choose what self-care looks like. There is no one size fits all. There are some guidelines, though. Paying attention to what the body wants, what the emotions are broadcasting, what the Soul wants.  And that all takes listening. The kind of listening that has open space for hearing.

To say that these are challenging times is an understatement of an exponential degree. We have not been here before, there is no guidebook, other than the one we carry within our body and Soul. Multidimensional living means that we now have access to knowing beyond our three dimensional world. We are being informed through invisible channels of communication that involve synchronicity with our natural world and the existing, living energies beyond anything our consciousness has known. It is a big world and we are receptors and co-creators.  If our response is to shut down and block reception, and that is a choice, we are saying no to this new, multidimensional life. On the other hand, when we look around and see that most people are in this land of not knowing with us, we can choose to share our experiences and learn with one another how to navigate this new, multidimensional life.

What is your new story? How are you flowing with multidimensional life now? How are you practicing supreme self-care? Please share in the comments section below!

3 Suggestions for Slowing Down

Feeling lost and confused lately? In our current, life-changing dimensional shift, everyone is challenged. Slowing down so that we can hear our own inner guidance is crucial. Self-care is key to slowing down. In slowing down, we change the conditioned, habitual patterning that causes us to stay busy, to force forward, to suppress the wisdom of our inner experience.

The 3rd Dimension was about drive and ambition. The 5th Dimension is mellower than that.  It no longer works to go outside of the present moment or to push for outcomes. In this new, multidimensional experience, the practices of overworking, overdoing, overthinking and staying busy agitate our functioning and get in the way of knowing what to do, when.

Why Slow Down?

Before we get to the 3 Suggestions for Slowing Down, let’s look at the value of slowing down.

We are no longer operating solely on the mental plane. We are being informed through our entire sensate experience; the channels of this receptivity are unique to each of us; some feel things, others see things, and others hear things, some can know by touch.  Some people are open to the signs that come their way as they travel through their day. The change, now, is that we can no longer think our way through something. Our minds do not have all of the information. If we open to the knowing that comes through our sensate experiences, we get a bigger, clearer picture, as well as a sense of timing. For instance, we might know that we do not yet have all the information that is needed to discern an optimal choice; we might be getting the information to wait.

The 5th Dimension is a multidimensional experience, opening us to a greater reality than is possible within the confines of the 3rd and 4th Dimensions. The 5th Dimension is also a portal to even higher dimensional frequencies. In order to access information that comes to us through our body’s connection with this Living Field of Love and Energy (Possibility) and Knowing, we have to be still.  We have to allow for space in the gaps of our doing.

There are rhythms in nature and there are rhythms within our bodies; we are not 24/7 machines like the ATM at the end of your street. We cycle and ebb and flow and we need good, quality sleep, rest and play and relaxation for optimal functioning. These are some of the reasons why it is helpful to slow down.

Another reason to slow down is that in the 5th Dimension, fear is released. Much of our constant activity is based on fear – deadlines, enough money in the bank, external approval from a boss or a team. You have probably heard this many times, fear has no essence. One of our earlier US Presidents even said this, “Nothing to fear but fear itself.” Our 3rd Dimension experiences were so fear- based that it takes a long, long time, to get this as a truth: fear is a control mechanism and can be released.  One way we release fear is by staying in the present moment.  This is a whole other blog topic, maybe for another time.

For now, the focus is on slowing down. If you have a wiry type body, what is known in the Ayurvedic tradition as a Vata body, or if you were born in the first half of the Lunar Cycle, the waxing Moon from New Moon to Full Moon, then you probably do have an innate orientation to high energy levels.  Your natural state might be motion, however, every living organism has ebb and flow rhythms. For those with heavier body types and those born in the waning Moon, from Full to the end of the Lunar Cycle, slowing down for you might mean taking to the bed occasionally.

Slowing down is a vital skill set for everyone in this shift from 3D to 5D.  The slowing down might look different for you than it does for a loved one or a friend, so please allow comparisons and judgement to fly out the window as you explore your own experiences of slowing down.

The 3 Suggestions for Slowing Down

We change through learning and we learn by doing. To rewire prior conditioning of habitual busyness, accept that learning to slow down takes practice, every day and through multiple, experiential ways.

  1. For part of your daily routine, whether it is in the morning as you wake up or before you go to bed, or during your commute to or from work, be silent, free of radio, tunes, TV. Try this for 5 to 10 minutes and just be still and contemplative as you go about your activity. Notice your breathing, notice your emotion. If fear or anxiety come up, by all means turn on the sounds, however, also try to slow breath through any surfacing anxiety.  If you do experience peace through this practice of a sound stimulation-free time, gradually add minutes, maybe upping your “in silence” time to 30 minutes or longer.

The point of this practice is to increase the comfort level with silence so that, over time, there is more familiarity with listening to intuition and the sensate informing that comes through the living energy field around us.

  1. Consider exploring adding an herbal tea to your daily intake. Or, consider the use of aromatherapy to help still your active mind and body. Some common herbs have a soothing effect and support the body in calming down.  You can research these through many sources. If you go to a health food store, you might be able to buy a small amount of an herb you would like to try from their bulk herb section.

Aromatherapy works on the primitive brain and its use can have an immediate calming effect. Explore aromatherapy options, they come in roll on applicators, creams that you can rub into your wrist, or in essential oils. Sniffing something like a rose oil can have an immediate calming effect to a stressed body. Research aromas that call to you.  Please note that many products used in aromatherapy might not be safe for use with children.  Consult references or professionals to learn more.

Allowing the body to calm, through use of an herbal tea or through the sense of smell, can have a direct effect on slowing down the mind. If it calls to you to use herbs or aromatherapy, practice using them regularly, maybe a couple of times each week over a period of some months. Consistent experiential learning can groove a new imprint.

  1. The last suggestion is to snatch moments through the day and practice slowing down.  For instance, between tasks that you do, stop for 3 to 5 minutes, stretch if you can, close your eyes, breath deep, simply stop.  Taking mini breaks like this throughout the day will recalibrate the mindset of keeping going.  A few ideas for integrating a habit of stopping include: after a meeting, go into the bathroom if you have no other place of privacy and take a few minutes to relax the muscles in your body, relax your face by smiling, even though you might not feel like it, close your eyes, massage your hands, rotate your shoulders, your wrists and your ankles. Look out the window for a few uninterrupted minutes and allow your thoughts to float like the clouds.  Acknowledge when your mind and body need a short break and give them what they want. Consciously assist in the recalibration from overdoing into conscious listening to your own inner experience.

Slowing down is a learned experience, built through trial and error, consistent practice and the cumulative joy that living a slowed down life brings. Please let me know, through the comments section below, how you are slowing down now and how that feels to you.
